Celebrity Ambassador, Darragh Ennis, Shares His Bereavement Story on Loose Women
Darragh Ennis, widely known as The Menace on ITV’s quiz shows The Chase and Beat the Chasers, appeared on ITV’s Loose Women this afternoon to share his personal experience of losing his father and how this has inspired him to become a Celebrity Ambassador for the bereavement charity, AtaLoss.
Darragh tragically lost his father in 2024. Reflecting on his experience in the show, he explained:
"When someone dies you’re really ‘at a loss’. You don’t know what to do... I thought I was prepared... I thought, I’ll be able to do this... I was hiding it... I was broken inside... I didn’t even realise it."
Darragh explained how the pressure got too much and how AtaLoss’ signposting enabled him and his family to find support.
"That’s why I am proud to support AtaLoss, who provide essential help to anyone in need of support. Having this help at such a time can make a profound difference."
Yvonne Tulloch, Founder and CEO of AtaLoss, comments:
"Our mission is to ensure that as many people as possible receive the support they need when they are bereaved. By courageously sharing his personal story on Loose Women, Darragh has helped raise awareness of the profound impact that a death can have and highlighted AtaLoss’ signposting and growing community support services.”
