New All–Party Parliamentary Group on Grief Support Launched
We are delighted to announce the launch of the New All-Party Parliamentary Group on Grief Support and the Impact of Death on Society.
Today marks the official inauguration of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Grief Support and the Impact of Death on Society. This new APPG will bring together policymakers, charities, professionals, and individuals with lived experience to drive meaningful change in bereavement support across the UK.

APPG Chair, Maureen Burke MP, expressed her commitment to the group's mission, stating:
"I am honoured to Chair the new All-Party Parliamentary Group on bereavement, bringing together charities, professionals, and those with lived experience to push for real change. Bereavement affects us all at some point in our lives, and it’s vital that we recognise grief support as a public health issue. I look forward to working with colleagues to ensure bereaved people across the UK receive the support they deserve."
Yvonne Tulloch, Founder and CEO of AtaLoss, welcomed the launch, saying:
“This APPG represents a crucial step forward in advocating for comprehensive grief support for all ages. We are immensely grateful to those in the sector who have supported its formation and look forward to providing Secretariat support to help drive its work forward."
