Four Time Award Winners 2023 / 2024
AtaLoss has won four awards in two years. We were identified as Best Bereavement Signposting Service and Best Bereavement Information Provider in the Ai Awards UK in 2023 - and in 2024 we have won two separate Care Awards with UK Business Awards, Funeral Services, first for our signposting and then for our The Bereavement Journey® community support programme for providing the best Grief Support service.
What We Do
AtaLoss provides the UK’s bereavement signposting and information website which was established in 2017 by founder and CEO Yvonne Tulloch. The charity also raises awareness in the media of bereavement issues and national under provision of bereavement support, and has more recently established The Bereavement Journey support programme which is run by churches for their communities across the UK. The three areas of the charity’s work plug gaps in bereavement support following decades of ‘death denial’, taking pressure off specialists and preventing longer-term problems.
Yvonne said of the awards:
"We’re absolutely delighted to be recognised by so many awards and would like to thank all our supporters for nominating us. Our staff have worked hard over recent years and the reputation of our contributions to the nation’s bereavement problem is spreading. The Ataloss.org website is becoming the go to place for bereaved people and professionals supporting them - health professionals, social prescribers, funeral directors, and many others who work day-to-day with bereaved people. And our The Bereavement Journey programme is so welcomed it has spread to almost 400 locations since its relaunch last year. We are providing pioneering services that offer timely information, choice of support and much needed community help, following years of unsupported grief, and at a time when many bereaved people face long waiting lists for assistance."
What the Bereavement Sector Says...
"Child Bereavement UK has worked in collaboration with AtaLoss for a number of years, and we know how committed the team has always been to providing high-quality signposting and information to help bereaved people of all ages find the support they need. We are delighted to see their hard work recognised through these awards." Child Bereavement UK
“The AtaLoss.org website is the best national resource there is for bereaved people and for the professionals I train. Congratulations Team AtaLoss!” Lucy Coote, National Trainer of Funeral Directors
What Participants of The Bereavement Journey Are Saying…
