SANDS - Oxfordshire
Sands is a UK charity that works across the country to support anyone affected by the death of a baby; improve the care bereaved parents receive from health care and other professionals; and reduce the number of babies who do die by funding research and working closely with other organisations to create a world where fewer babies die.
We have a free national helpline offering bereavement support and information on the telephone and by email. We also offer support through a moderated forum, information booklets and over 100 local peer support groups.
Oxfordshire Sands holds informal meetings every two months where individual stories can be shared and support and practical advice offered. Meetings are run by volunteers who are all bereaved parents themselves.
