The bereavement support officer will help you with many of the practical issues.
The BSO support the bereaved family with practical issues and guidance on hospital processes leading to the registration appointment, and will signpost to external services for additional bereavement support.
- The medical certificate is sent straight to the registrars (the family do not collect this.)
- They support the family on trying to obtain property and valuables.
- The registration appointments are directly made with the registrars (as they are not situated in the hospital anymore).
