Wave Trauma Centre, Northern Ireland
WAVE works with individuals who are bereaved, injured, traumatised or intimidated as a result of the Troubles in Northern Ireland. WAVE provides care and support irrespective of religious, cultural or political belief.
WAVE offers various services such as Outreach Support, Health and Wellbeing Support, Welfare Advice, Advocacy, Peer Support, Counselling and Complementary Therapies. All services (with the exception on complementary therapies) are free of charge.
WAVE operates Monday to Thursday from 9am – 5pm, and Fridays 9am – 4.30pm in all 5 centres (Armagh, Ballymoney, Belfast, Derry Londonderry and Omagh). There are also evening counselling appointments available, tailored counselling services are delivered to all ages - from ages 6 years and upwards.
