Yarm Association for Widowed (and People who live alone alone) (YAW) is a service that supports people enabling them to meet up for fun, friendship and understanding.

They meet:

  • Every Friday in Tomahawk Restaurant in Yarm from 10am till 11:30am. Men meet from 10:30am till 12pm - an informal get together over a cup of tea/coffee for people who have all gone through a similar experience
  • Every first Monday of the month from 2pm till 4pm in Eaglescliffe Golf Club
  • For coffee every fourth Thursday of the month at Eaglescliffe, Golf Club, from 2pm till 4pm

Monthly meetings take the form of a games/fun afternoon or a guest speaker/entertainment.

Summer and Christmas lunches and frequent coach outings to places of interest are also arranged.
