The Dove Service
The Dove Service supports people from the age of 4+ who are struggling with issues relating to bereavement, loss or life-changing illness across communities in Staffordshire and Cheshire and Wirral.
They work in partnership with a number of organisations including NHS trusts, local authorities and other charities to provide bereavement and loss counselling and support as part of a holistic approach to mental health services.
The Dove service social/friendship group, Dove Buddies, is for adults who have experienced bereavement and may be struggling with social connections, loneliness and isolation that often comes hand in hand with grief. Dove Buddies meets in various locations in North Staffordshire, Cheshire and also online.
Dove also provides training to, individuals, professionals and community groups about grief, loss and bereavement to enable them to better support those in their care, to de-mystify and normalise grief.
