If you live in Birmingham, are over the age of 18 and have experienced a bereavement of a loved one, you can access this service.

The Bereavement and Wellbeing team is a consortium of third sector organisations, including Crossroads, Communities in Sync, Ideal for All, KUUMBA Centre and Sandwell Advocacy, working together to support individuals to cope with the loss of their loved one by offering practical support and a range of bespoke services.

They have specialist officers who will speak with you to identify your requirements and signpost you to other agencies if needed. Together they can develop an action plan which can include –

  • Integration into the local community
  • Looking at your health needs
  • Give you options to socialise
  • Give you training & employment opportunities
  • Provide you with different options of bereavement support which include – Peer Support Groups, traditional bereavement support, befriending service, group activities, advocacy
  • Access to the Living Memory project.
