Switchboard - Grief Encounters
Many LGBTQ people face a number of additional challenges when it comes to bereavement, in addition to universal experiences of grief, pain and sadness.
Switchboard is a charity for LGBTQ people looking for a sense of community, support or information. Grief Meets are monthly informal peer support meetings for LGBTQ bereaved people. The groups explore a particular theme each month, usually using a creative outlet, and are an opportunity to meet with others and explore their grief in a safe space. They also offer a helpline.
