Stockwood STAR
The aim of the support group is to create a safe space for people to receive support, listen to and share stories & experiences with others who have experienced loss in their life. Once you have become a member of the group, you can choose to come whenever you feel like you need to. The support group is facilitated by Peer Supporters volunteers who have themselves been through a loss. The group does not provide formal therapy or follow specific structures or themes - the group is kept that way because for a lot of people, their biggest need is just to speak to others who have gone through something similar. The group is open to adults over the age of 18.
