Jewish Bereavement Counselling Service (JBCS)
The Jewish Bereavement Counselling Service offers confidential counselling in a sensitive, aware and knowledgeable way that respects social, cultural and religious needs. Services provided for individuals, couples, children and families in the Jewish Community who are experiencing loss, including suicide, disaster, holocaust issues, baby-loss, miscarriage and still birth. JBCS supports people from the entire spectrum of Jewish practice and observance. Counselling is done either in person, online or via telephone.
JBCS also provides the following bereavement support groups:
- Bereaved Parents – For Jewish parents bereaved of adult children
- Stronger Together – for people (60+) who have lost a partner
- Stepping Stones – for people (40 – 60 years) who have lost a partner
- Butterflies - for mums and dads (of young children) who have lost a parent
- Aftershock - for young adults (18 – 30 years) who have lost a parent
All sessions of counselling are held either in person, or online.
