Sadly, few organisations have the skills and expertise to support a colleague when they are bereaved and there can be significant repercussions.

A bereaved member of staff or volunteer may:

  • Need time off or changes to their work patterns to deal with the practicalities of their new life

  • Experience emotional ups and downs, overwhelming them at unexpected moments, affecting staff relationships and dynamics.

  • Be unable to perform as they did before their bereavement.

  • Experience depression or long-term mental or physical ill health.

  • Grief and Bereavement awareness training for staff and volunteers at all levels, including clinicians.

  • Access to pre-recorded bereavement awareness sessions for all current and new staff.

  • Access for bereaved staff to online peer group support

  • Access to bi-monthly webinars running on different grief subjects by an expert panel. 

  • Access to recordings of the bi-monthly webinars.

  • Access to periodic online peer group and cross sector learning sets.

  • Annual bespoke training session on application of bereavement support for your organisation, online or in person.

  • You get your logo and a link to your website on our dedicated commercial partner page.  With over 250k page views of our website this gives your organisation profile and an opportunity to be found by users of our website.  

  • You can also have an organisational fundraising page to which employees can add photos and comments alongside reporting funds raised, giving you even more profile.

You could for example:

  • Enter a team into a Challenge Event that would also raise money for AtaLoss.

  • Run a cause related marketing campaign - promote AtaLoss and yourselves.
